The disconnection of power cords is a critical issue for ME equipment used in medical institutions. Additionally, if the holding force is too high, excessive force may be applied to the power cord, potentially causing poor contact or disconnection. The holding force measurement fixture can easily measure the holding force of outlets, plugs, multi-tap power strips, and power cords. It can measure hospital-grade products such as medical outlets and medical plugs compliant with JIS T 1021:2019, as well as general products like OA multi-tap power strips compliant with JIS C 8303. It is also possible to measure the holding force of inlets and power cord connectors of ME equipment. For medical institutions, we recommend regularly checking whether the outlets and multi-tap power strips currently in use, regardless of whether they are medical or general, fall within the specifications of JIS standards (JIS T 1021, JIS C 8303).
